Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) technology provides
Internet access at speeds up to 50 times faster than a 28.8Kbps modem on a
standard analog phone line. There are no dial-up delays, no busy signals. And because DSL Internet Service sends data and
voice over the same line, you can talk on the phone while you connect. If
your friends and relatives haven’t been able to reach you because you
were on the Internet, you are a candidate for DSL. And, if you are paying
for an extra line just so you can have Internet access without tying up
your phone, you can eliminate that line and put the cost of it towards
your DSL service.

INSTALLATION
For most people the only equipment they will need is
the DSL Modem kit, which includes the DSL Modem, a network interface card,
and a filter kit (for separating the DSL signal from the phone signal on
your phone jacks.
If you plan on using your DSL Internet Access for
multiple computers, you will need a DSL router/switch, plus network cards
and cabling for each computer. You have the option of using a standard
Ethernet cabled router/switch or using a wireless Ethernet router/switch.
These are available from a variety of sources or Autumn Internet can
provide them for you.
Our pricing for a standard Ethernet router with a 4
port switch is $120.00 and network cards are available for $25.00. For

Our standard installation is the self-install kit.
Most people hooking up a single computer should easily be able to set up
their DSL installation. Free phone support is available for the
self-install kits. Should we need to send a technician out to set up your
DSL connection or set up DSL router for multiple computer, the technician
will charge an hourly rate. Current rates are $90.00 per hour. These rates
are subject to change without notice.
AVAILABILITY
DSL availability is still limited. Most of the
Reno/Carson city area can now get DSL, but in order to get it you must be
within 16000 feet of a Nevada Bell central office or remote terminal that
has been provisioned for DSL. To find out if DSL is available at your

CURRENT PROMOTIONS
Promotion 101: The Buddy Deal
If you tell your friends about Autumn Internet and
they sign up with us for DSL service you are eligible for one free month
of service after they have paid for their third month. If they do not sign
up for DSL Service, but do set up for Dialup Access or Web Hosting, you
will receive a $20.00 credit. There is no limit to the number of Buddies
you can sign up and your month or credits can be accumulated.
Promotion 100: Prepayment Options
We are currently working on
prepayment options for DSL. Because of the higher costs involved in DSL
service we cannot offer the same prepayment options that are available on
our other accounts.
Dialup and web hosting customers can receive from 5
to 15% discounts for prepayment periods from 3 months in advance to 1 year
in advance.
